Prélude is a cocktail and canapé lounge by Chef Matt Peters, located in a historic mansion just West of downtown Austin. Our cocktail program showcases top tier spirits in a refined and playful way. With a menu of seasonal canapés, guests can enjoy their way through the full menu or enjoy a few bites before a night out. Our space is perfect for a date night, large group gatherings, private events, or just a casual drink with friends. Join us for LIVE jazz on our back lawn Thursdays from 6-9 pm on our back lawn!

Thoughtful spirit free drinks, wine, and beer are also a part of our evolving menu. Our wine program has been curated by a former Sommelier at The French Laundry and we offer wines by the glass as well as a full bottle list. 

Prélude is just the beginning of the journey for what is to come for 707 West 10th Street. The house is over a century old and Prélude will evolve over the next few years into a full restaurant as well as adding Chef Matt Peters flagship fine dining concept, Maven, into the space as well. We welcome you all to explore the home and come along for the journey as we transform the space into something never before seen in Austin.

PRÉLUDE SUMMER COUNTRY CLUB

This Summer, Prélude will be giving country club vibes at our mansion off West 10th Street. While the house will keep its upscale feel, we will have playful experiences for guests to enjoy such as giant back lawn chess, fun table games, live music including Thursday night Jazz with The Utopian Quartet, and special guest chef collab dinners with Chef Matt and some of the best chefs in Austin. For members, special perks and access will be the highlight of the Summer and include: a members only cocktail menu, all night happy hour every Tuesday & Wednesday, first access to guest chef dinners and events, PLUS partner discounts at Spa Sway and Other Racquet | Memberships are limited and are $200 for the entire Summer. RESERVATIONS

Reservations are encouraged, however, we accept walk-ins each evening. Our reservations are released to the public 21 days in advance of the date. Want priority access? Sign up to be a VIP email subscriber and you will get to access reservations 30 days in advance. Please note that outdoor reservations are weather dependent.  We will do our best to accommodate you indoors if available or reschedule to a future date.

MAHJONG 101

This Summer, our attic lounge will transform into a game room where Austin Mahjong Social will be hosting Mahjong 101 every Tuesday night beginning May 20th and running until the end of August. KENTUCKY DERBY PARTY

To kick off the Prélude Country Club, they will be hosting a back lawn Kentucky Derby Party on Saturday, May 3 with derby-inspired passed canapés, mint juleps, live music, and will have the races live on TV’s on the back lawn. The full food and beverage menu will also be available to purchase and enjoy. They encourage guests to come in full derby attire and hats! Only 50 tickets remaining and can be purchased HERE

West Chelsea Contemporary x Prélude

Throughout the mansion, you will find a curated collection of exquisite artwork by West Chelsea Contemporary. This collection has been thoughtfully curated to the vibes of the space and even includes pieces from Chef Matt's collection. Each guests is invited to tour around the space and enjoy the pieces like a contemporary art gallery, and can even acquire pieces for their very own collection.
